Self Help Development helps with food for OUr Black African people, Farmers to plant food and make many more things happen! We can help too!

Self Help Development works in Africa

1,000s of people contribute every year

to the ongoing work of Self Help development  International

in Africa. Whole communities have been given the

skills and knowledge to help themselves. The technologies

assist them in growing produce to feed their families and

sell surpluses, social amenities, training, and skills

to make their future happier.

Some of the modest investments by Self

Help are in Irrigation and water development

projects. They promote improved farming

techniques, in horticulture, enviornmental

protection and restoration, forestry,

the upgrading and construction of hospitals,
health centers and schools and training

independent evaculators. THis has been

so useful it has helped 2 million people in

20 years.

            THe Farmers Grow Fund

is used to plant trees, provide seeds,

build ponds and boreholes, develop agricultural

systems, support activities that improve yields,

diversify crop production, and help rural
African communities.

20 million tree seedlings are planted. Self Help has supported

hundreds of irrigated farming systems, has capped springs and provided

boreholes. You can contact fundraising at fundraising@shdi.org

about the Farmers Grow Fund. The more food in Africa the better.
Think about all those people in Africa that need to be fed.

The Self Help Seed Fund is also doing BIG things.

They provide seed capital for creation and development of

primary co operatives. They help also to provide additional

revenue and resources and training programs for co-operative

movement.

               They do more things like:

provide seed capital to develop micro agri processing enterprises

in the household, community, and co operative levels

Supports growth of credits and savings schemes

Supports developments of regional activities in Ethiopia

Is a way for another source of employment, especially for rural youth.

Supports the development of community based organizations.

ANd for more details on that contact them by email

Self help has donated a water pump.

This help rids the water of contaminants. THis well

helps over 2,500 people. This water pump has helped

the water borne diseases to fall drastically.

Laurence and Margaret are Self Help model

farmers. They have planted mango trees, improved

maize, and a vegetable plot with potatoes,

cabbage and peppers.

To start, Visions FOr Nigeria began in August 2001.

It registered as well as commenced Operations in

Nigeria in July 2004. This organization is non profit
Non governmental organization.

goes and fills in where governments don’t give their attention.

We all know sometimes government lacks. They are not

always up to part. So ofcourse we need programs

like this as a back up.

The organization Visions for Nigeria provides food, free medical services, because

they have qualified medical doctors, They provide

free drugs, clothes, shoes, bags and toys as well

as educational materials.

Look through the site and see what role or many roles

you would like to take on. There is :
Project ACe is Accelerated COmputer Education.

NGOs and private institutions raise money to subsidize

the program. The Pioneer IT courses they have

are Autocad, Desktop Publishing, Web design &
Development and COmputer Engineering &
Technology.

Microfinance has the purpose of  empowering

Nigeria’s less fortunate areas.  They are given the

proper tools and gain skills of trade so they can

start a business. THus, they will be able to get

an income from it. Small grants are needed

for their business. This is how one step can

take someone higher. You make the move to help,

they make the move to keep this in motion. It’s

just like giving them a ticket to their vision. They

will know how to get it there. They will work

hard to get it there and remain there and EVEN

go higher. You can even volunteer, the more compassionate
and enthusiastic  the better as you know.

puzzle. Everyone adding onto yours makes it
close to the destination. It’s like a network of
helping.

They are kids in need of extra help

especially because their parents died and now

they are orphans. A child can only do so much.
But adults can do a lot more. So go ahead

and step into position to help.

These are two businesses that support Face Africa:

it takes a village to raise a child. This is the

Everyday they live and everyday they need help.
They need everything they can get for survival.
It is ridiculous how there’s not enough
people helping. But people are stealing
from Africa, as you’ve heard in my other
blog posts. THey are stealing and
these people in need should be getting
the money and supplies. OH, but there are some
very greedy people who will take from the
people who need stuff the most.

Ethiopiaid has our BLack people in mind. Their
mission is to protect our Black people from proverty,

as well as around Ethiopia’s capital
    Addis Ababa.

Polio still exists in Africa because of the lack
of resources in some areas. It is one of those
    terrible paralyzing illnesses.

             The Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital
    treats women with fistula.

               Addis Ababa WOmen’s Health Centre
provides service for pregnancy and contraception.

cause is what I call using your time wisely.
The world and people living in it needs order.
If one thing is out of order that affects
something else. Just like you would have
difficulty riding a bike with flat tires.
THe rest of the bike is ok, but the flat
tires so you down. don’t it? That’s like
the situation in Ethiopia. Our Black
